His Eminence Dzogchen Rinpoche’s family
His Eminence the 7th Dzogchen Rinpoche, is father of Tulku Tsewang Rinzin and Tulku Orgyen Rigdzin. Both tulkus have been recognised as high incarnations from the Dzogchen lineage and will soon be enthroned. Their mother is Kelsang la. Tulku Tsewang Rinzin was born in 1996 and Tulku Orgyen Rigdzin was born in 2000. At the time of their birth there were many auspicious signs and it is anticipated that Tulku Tsewang Rinzin and Tulku Orgyen Rigdzin will be the future of the Dzogchen lineage in years to come.

The young tulkus attend school in Bangalore. They study a full curriculum of academic subjects, including English and Hindi. They are also studying Tibetan. Tulku Tsewang Rinzin has started his spiritual training and is presently studying “Words of my perfect Teacher” by Patrul Rinpoche. The young tulku excels in his academic studies and is also a talented athlete who has been chosen to represent his school at basketball. Tulku Tsewang Rinzin is also very creative and shows great skill at drawing. Although only young, Tulku Orgyen Rigdzin shows great interest in Buddhist philosophy and often talks very deeply and seriously with his father regarding particularly high teachings.

Tulku Tenzin Jangchup
His Eminence is also the guardian of Tulku Tenzin Jangchup, who was born in 1994. He was recognised by His Eminence the 7th Dzogchen Rinpoche as a reincarnate tulku from Tibet’s Gyarong Monastery, a branch of Dzogchen Monastery. At four years of age, Tulku Tenzin Jangchup moved from his family home in the Dhondenling settlement to Dzogchen Monastery, where he began his study and training. In April 2002, His Eminence Dzogchen Rinpoche became Tenzin Jangchup’s guardian and personally supervises his development. The young tulku is now living and studying in Bangalore. He is fluent in Tibetan and is also an exceptional athlete who has won many medals. Tulku Tenzin Jangchup has a great sense of humour. He is very attentive and is always ready to help and care for everyone around him.
His Eminence Dzogchen Rinpoche supervises the three young tulkus academic and spiritual education, so that they may be the continuation of his enlightened activity for the benefit of others.
