Dzogchen Shri Senha Charitable Society (DSSCS), a registered Indian charity, was founded in 1995 by His Eminence the 7th Dzogchen Rinpoche, Jigme Losel Wangpo. His Eminence was inspired by a request from His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso, to provide continued support for the Tibetan community in exile. DSSCS maintains and develops educational, social welfare and healthcare projects within the Dhondenling Tibetan settlement and neighbouring Indian communities.
DSSCS is named after Shri Senha, a great master and an important figure in the transmission of the Nyingma tradition. DSSCS receives international sponsorship from Shenpen, charitable organisations established by His Eminence throughout the world, to support the Tibetan refugee community.

As both the founder and president of DSSCS, His Eminence Dzogchen Rinpoche was recently honoured by the Tibetan Government in Exile for his "outstanding contribution to the welfare of the Tibetan people". His Eminence is passionately determined to improve people's lives both spiritually and practically and has worked for over a decade for the benefit of the Tibetan community.
His Eminence Dzogchen Rinpoche, is the embodiment of practical wisdom and compassion in action. Through his work with DSSCS, His Eminence has built two new kindergartens, village community halls, refurbished the village primary and secondary school - the Central School for Tibetans, made road improvements and many other infrastructural developments within the Dhondenling settlement. DSSCS also offers student scholarship programmes for healthcare, further education and computer training. His Eminence has also built OPH, a home that cares for over 32 elderly residents and has sponsored much needed renovation work within The Dhondenling Van Thiel Hospital that provides valuable healthcare for the settlement.

Vidyadhara Health Department
- Establishing a walk-in clinic at Dzogchen Monastery - the Vidyadhara Healing Clinic
- Developing a healing institute in Bangalore - the Vidyadhara Healing Institute which will offer training and treatment from both traditional and modern methods of medicine and healing

Tara Education Department
- Construction of a 3rd kindergarten
- Awarding scholarships for vocational programmes and training in medicine, nursing and computer training
