When we completely rest our body, energy and mind in each moment, we have everything we need to experience peace within ourselves. This is the essence of the Dzogchen Teachings.

Teaching Programme 2008

His Eminence the 7th Dzogchen Rinpoche, Jigme Losel Wangpo, is one of the foremost Tibetan Lamas alive today. His Eminence was recognised by H.H. the 4th Dodrupchen Rinpoche, as the holder of the 400 year old unbroken lineage of Dzogchen. Renowned as an exceptional scholar, His Eminence teaches with incredible clarity and confidence, making him the ultimate guide, who leads us from the cycle of suffering.

Resting the mind

Our mind is like a candle flame, disturbed by the winds of our emotions. When the candle flame is still, the radiating light allows us to see more clearly. In the same way, when we calm our mind, quieten our thoughts and rest, clarity and confidence naturally arise in our lives. By revealing that our mind creates all our emotions, His Eminence the 7th Dzogchen Rinpoche will explain how we can rest our mind in its natural state.

Ro chig – "Merging into Oneness"

When we label our experiences we create suffering. All phenomena, good and bad, are just appearances of the mind. By turning the mind inwards and resting, we can recognise Ro chig "merging into oneness". Happiness and sadness, health and sickness, birth and death dissolve into one taste. In this one day teaching, His Eminence the 7th Dzogchen Rinpoche will go deeper into the practice of resting the mind and merging into Ro chig. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the extraordinary Dzogchen tradition.

Discovering Total Freedom

Our pursuit of pleasure, longing for possessions and desire to escape our daily routine are just distractions that make our lives even busier. We feel temporary relief from our suffering but we become trapped in our search for peace. When we realise that the mind shapes all our experiences we can recognise everything, just as it is, free from hope and fear. By expounding upon the ancient Dzogchen teachings, His Eminence the 7th Dzogchen Rinpoche will help us to tame our tricky mind, challenging us to explore where our mind comes from. The retreat will follow a daily programme of teachings, meditation, practice and discussion groups.

International Retreat

As an acclaimed Buddhist scholar, His Eminencd is renowned for his ability to transform the ancient Dzogchen wisdom into practical advice.
